  • What should my blog be about?
    

    Your blog should NEVER be about your personal life (unless you are a celebrity). No one wants to read a strangers journal. Your blog should be about something a specific group (a niche) of people would enjoy gaining knowledge about. The truth is most people read blogs to gain some insight from the article and learn something or be entertained. Our recommendation is to choose a blog topic that you are experienced with, such as a hobby or interest close to you, and create interesting articles spun around it. Many people have turned their daily job into a blog, for example writing about the comical happenings at their Burger King job. Your blog should be a clear topic and not try to cover 4 or 5 different areas.

  • Is it possible to request a wordpress theme?
    

    Sure. Just make a ticket and we will take a look, but no guarentee we will add it to the network. We are very strict about the themes available, as each one takes resources to maintain.

  • I would like to customize my theme. Is this possible?
    

    Some of the themes are customizable, but not all. If customization is available, a new submenu will appear under Design after activating the theme.

  • What can I expect to earn?
    

    It will depend on many many factors, but our average quality blogger is making $50/m with an average of 3 posts per week. You can't just sign up, not put any content on your blog, and expect the money to flow in. That's where most fail. Blogging is about writing interesting stuff and gaining a readership. Once you do that, you can expect to start making a little money at first and over time the amount snowballs. Don't expect to earn anything decent the first couple months, bloggers rarely ever do. Like wine, it only gets better with age (but don't let it lose the flavor).

  • How do I add Google AdSense to my blog?
    

    Heres the great thing. It's all done automagically.

    Normally, webmasters have to edit source code and insert javascript in their pages. At paidtoblog, all you need to do is create/associate an AdSense account and get approved. To do this - click on the Google AdSense menu from the dashboard of your blog.

    Well, you'd be surprised. Take a look at this interesting list by Paula Neal Mooney of Top Bloggers and their Salaries.

    All of these bloggers went from a slight interest in blogging to making 10x what their 9to5 job. It of course did not happen overnight though, but the potential is in everyone - even 13 year olds.

  • How do I know I am being credited for Ads?
    

    Check the Google AdSense page for your account status, it will let you know if everything is correct with your account. Once we see your account is working, you will be able to see your earnings from the dashboard. You may also log into your Google AdSense account directly at Google's site at adsense.google.com.

  • Does it take a lot of work to make money?
    

    It does not take a very much work, but it can take a lot of time to build your blog authority. In other words - a blog that is aged and has been regularly written on over a long period of time is incredibly more succesfull than a blog created last week. While putting a lot of effort into your blog can make boost it's success early on, the greater strategy is over time - just like investing.

  • What are some of the ways Paid to Blog increases my earnings?
    

    While we can't of course earn money for you, we do optimize the amount of money you make in several ways. Afterall, with a revenue share model, it's in our best interest to maximize your earnings.

    One of the ways we maximize earnings is by constantly tweaking and moving around the ad placement, size, and colors for our various blog themes. Each blog theme has been optimized to display AdSense for the highest amount of CTR (click-through rate), because the more clicks you get the more you earn.

    We also do various SEO (search engine optimization) modifications to make your blog posts friendly to the major search engines. This includes prominantly renaming your titles for your keywords, noindexes on certain pages to prevent duplicate content penalties, and other tweaks as they are discovered.

Write a few interesting posts about your topic and share these posts with others on the web. You will then be on your way to success!

  • I don't see any Ads on my blog...
    

    If you are logged in and looking at your own blog, the Ads will not be visible. This is to prevent users from clicking their own ads accidently or on purpose which can cause your AdSense account to be terminated.

    Occasionally your blog may not display any ads if there are no advertisements relative to your content. If this is the case, you will see blank areas where the ads should be. If you don't see any ads on any blog of our site, check that you don't have adblocking software hiding them from your view.
